Strategist Brief

Not a report. A decision.

The Strategist Brief synthesises the Coalition Map, the Tension Map, the pre-mortem risks, and the team's own reflections into a single advisory document. It tells you what to do first, who owns it, and why.

The rule

It refuses to generate on half a picture.

A brief built on leadership alone recommends interventions the build team cannot run. A brief built on execution alone surfaces blockers without identifying who has the authority to address them. The Strategist Brief waits until both halves are present.

Inputs

Four sources. One brief.

01

Coalition Map

Three Strategic completions produce the leadership picture: agreement, divergence, and distinct voices.

02

Tension Map

Three Build completions produce the execution picture: the constraint silently blocking every project and the dimension where the team is most divided.

03

Pre-mortem risks

The ranked show-stopper risks the team named privately. Not what they said in the workshop — what they said when no one could calibrate to the right answer.

04

Participant reflections

The missing condition each leader named. The kill criteria. The proceed criteria. The qualitative signal that explains why the scores diverge.

Contents

Five sections. Zero fluff.

01
Executive Summary

The honest sentence. The dominant archetype. The lens distribution. The band placement. Everything a board member needs in ninety seconds.

02
Coalition Map

Where the team aligns, where it fractures, and whose distinct voice is the counterweight the coalition needs — if it chooses to listen.

03
Tension Map

The constraint the team is least equipped to handle. The shared walls that look like strengths. The fault lines that will break the programme.

04
Political Risk

Where the leadership picture and the execution picture diverge. The conversation that will happen in six months, named now — while there is still time to prepare.

05
30-Day Sprint Plan

Sequenced actions with owners and done-means. Not a roadmap. A sprint. The first four weeks of what the evidence says to do, in the order the evidence says to do it.

A brief that no one acts on is just expensive prose. Ours is built to be built.

Who it is for

Different rooms. Same brief.

C-suite

What is the single initiative we are closest to succeeding at in thirty days?

PMO

Who owns each action, and what does done look like?

Advisory partners

What evidence can I walk into the boardroom with that no competitor has?

Begin

The brief is waiting for your data.

Three completions on Strategic. Three on Build. The brief generates automatically when both halves are present. No analyst required.
